I now have 4 dogs. Fletch, our great 8 year old male who is 100 % German. Holli, a wonderful 6 year old female who was purchased from Ukraine at 6 months of age. Whitey, a 3 year old male who was the pick of Fletch and Holli's second litter. I added Kena, a female puppy from Goodwood's Dachshunds in Oregon to our family in November 2019 and she turned  2 years old in September of 2021. Kena's dam is from Finland, (FC Keski-Maan Ivy Me). Her sire, (FC Goodwood 'To Good To Be Silasnced), both have fantastic bloodlines.

Kena had her first litter in early February 2022. She had 5 puppies and it was just an awesome litter, with no problems at all. They were all placed in their new homes in just a few days after they were 8 weeks old.

All 5 spots for Kena's 2023 litter have been reserved! I am putting a waiting list together in the event she has another puppy or two. I do expect her to have more than five puppies, but those extra spots will not be filled untill after she whelps. 

BDH has made some nice improvements to the whelping/weaning room, increasing the area by 30% when needed. Also, we  added a paved/fenced 200 SF living area outside for the puppies and it is connected to the whelping/weaning room and puppy yard so they will have plenty of room to play and exercise when they are old enough to do so. I will be traveling to a field trial or two this year. BDH has added a Deer Skin dog box, and topper complete with wifi-temperature sensors, and cameras to the truck. Additionally, BDH purchased a travel trailer so that we can stay on sight at the competitions. The next chapter of Brown's Dachshund Hunt has begun!! 

My dogs live and travel with us as part of our family. We include them in all of our daily activities and our lives revole around them!!   They sleep at night in beautiful Mason Sani-kennels just a few feet from my bedroom and our whelping and weaning area is even closer. The whelping/weaning room also has a seperate outside kennel/yard for the puppies as they grow, (see pictures below). Both the main kennel and whelping room have wi-fi cameras and wi-fi temperture sensors. I take great care of our dogs and puppies, keeping them healthy and their living spaces immaculate and sanitary.
